Nestled in the beautiful mountains of Susquehanna County, Choconut Valley is a vibrant community that provides kids with the opportunity to be active in a wide array of extracurricular programs.
Choconut Valley Youth Athletic Association was created in 1984 to support the development of local youth activities. Started by parents, school staff and local community members, CVYAA’s mission is to influence each student in the Montrose Area School District with positive life experiences and lessons in good sportsmanship, cooperation, respect, skill development and goal setting through involvement in sports.
CVYAA strives to bond all Montrose Area students with their community by working very closely with volunteers to provide up-to-date training and equipment for all participants.Developing sustainable programs and keeping activities strictly volunteer-based has allowed the organization to decrease financial responsibility for local families for over 30 years.
CVYAA finds ways to add new activities and improve existing programs in order to get everyone involved. Our relationship with Choconut Valley Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) allows CVYAA to help out in other ways with events such as the Halloween Parade, Cookies with Santa, the Spring Fair and much, much more. To visit their site and find out more ways to help, go to http://www.masd.info/choconut/cvyaapto.
Keeping youth activities alive and flourishing is something CVYAA will continue to do with the help of all our volunteers. There’s something for all children to gain from our programs:
CVYAA looks forward to helping all children find an opportunity to grow and learn through our local youth activities! Please take the time to explore our various programs, schedules, fundraisers, events and volunteering opportunities. We appreciate your involvement!
