- Archery is a life-long sport that is consistent with the mission of our organization.
- Participants learn attributes that not only promote individual skills, but collaborative skills that are essential to becoming an effective member of a team.
- All students in grades 3-6 participate in an introductory archery program as part of their physical education class.
- CVYAA offers an after school archery club that shoots on Sundays, at the Choconut Valley Elementary School.
- Our equipment includes 15 regular genesis bows, 4 mini genesis bows, 10 dozen arrows, floor quivers, 4 bow racks, (2) 30’ arrow safety curtain, repair kit, fletching jigs, bow press, replacement strings and cables, travel bow cases.
- Our program is financially supported by a “Shoot-4-A-Cure” archery tournament to raise funds that support our program. 50% of the profits go to Cancer Research. To date, those donations total nearly $6,000.

- Since 2009 we have participated in the State Archery Tournament first held in Harrisburg, but most recently held at Penn State University.
Accomplishments
- 86 medal winners at the State Tournament.
- 22 Individual State Champions.
- 6 Team Championships, 9 runner ups.
- However, our most significant accomplishment has been the programs ability to introduce so many children to the great sport of Archery. This fact is substantiated when you consider that 43% of our eligible students participate in our program.
